Endoscopic BrowliftAn endoscopic forehead lift or "browlift" is a procedure that rejuvenates an aging forehead for a more youthful, refreshed look to the area. The procedure corrects drooping brows and improves the horizontal lines and furrows that can make a person appear angry, sad or tired. Endocopic Browlift ProcedureThe procedure can be performed under local or general anesthesia in an accredited and licensed ambulatory surgery center. Small hidden "keyhole" incisions are made behind the hairline and an endoscope (a specialized surgical telescope) is inserted to allow the surgeon to visual the anatomy without creating a large a noticeable scar. Certain small muscles that create the deep furrows in the forhead are incised and the tissue is then pulled and redraped to eliminare the remaining wrinkles. Surgery is outpatient. Often this procedure is combined with a facelift and blepharoplasty for a complete rejuvenation of the entire face. Recovery from Endoscopic BrowliftA pressure dressing is wrapped around the head. Fixation devices are kept in place at the incision sites for a week and are then removed on the follow-up visit. Mild bruising, numbness and swelling is sometimes seen. Most visible signs of surgery are gone within 2-3 weeks. Intended Results from Endoscopic BrowliftElimination of forhead wrinkles removes an obvious psychologic cue of aging.
