Whether you’ve never heard of this groundbreaking procedure, or have been contemplating it for some time, here are some new things you should know about CoolSculpting this spring.

CoolSculpting Partners With Athletes to Launch Nationwide Marketing Campaign

Fad weight loss trends are basically a national pastime in America, and the dustbin of history is full of extreme approaches that promised to help people shed unwanted body fat and gain a toned physique. Who can forget the ThighMaster and Tae Bo commercials that seemed to be everywhere you turned in the ‘90s, or the ill-fated Shake Weight infomercial that went viral a few years ago?

When you look back on some of the ways you’ve tried to lose fat, they probably seem pretty hilarious in hindsight. CoolSculpting has launched a national “Not Cool vs. COOL” marketing campaign that pokes gentle fun at these absurd “Not Cool” ways to sculpt and tone your body, while simultaneously sharing the message that CoolSculpting is a non-surgical, “COOL” and FDA-approved method to remove body fat from targeted areas.

As part of these marketing efforts, CoolSculpting is now working with champion athletes to help spread the word that CoolSculpting is a safe, highly effective and permanent way to remove pockets of stubborn body fat.

British pro golfer Ian Poulter is wearing official CoolSculpting gear on tour, and has also been promoting the positive effects of CoolSculpting for men. Poulter, who underwent a CoolSculpting procedure to remove a double chin, shared a video about his experience that you can view below.

Two-time Olympic figure skater and beloved NBC broadcaster Johnny Weir is also getting in on the “Not Cool vs. COOL” trend with a series of commercials where he interviews people about the unsuccessful gimmicks, contraptions and techniques they have tried to help them lose weight or spot-tone their bodies. See it here:

What Makes CoolSculpting So Effective?

You already have plenty of experience trying weight loss trends that are definitely Not Cool – and you’ve probably got a few stories of your own to share. But what makes CoolSculpting different from all the fitness gadgets that are gathering dust in your basement right now?

Well, unlike your long-abandoned Ab Roller, CoolSculpting is based on a scientific discovery by researchers at Harvard. The technique, which is technically known as Cryolipolysis, freezes and kills fat cells in targeted areas, which the body then sheds naturally over the next few months.

Why is CoolSculpting the “COOL” new way to finally achieve that toned silhouette you’ve been chasing for years? The truth is, no matter how diligently you stick to your diet, or how often you perform certain exercises, you won’t be able to improve the look of specific problem areas on your body through diet and exercise alone.

Spot-toning is a fitness myth that helped sell thousands of products such as the ThighMaster. Now, imagine you truly can banish that lower-belly bulge, or your unflattering double chin – safely, easily and permanently. CoolSculpting makes that dream a reality! Here are some of the major reasons more and more patients around the world are choosing to be “COOL” with CoolSculpting.

1. CoolSculpting is completely non-invasive.
As opposed to surgical techniques such as liposuction or gastric bypass, both of which require incisions, sutures and significant post-operative recovery time, CoolSculpting is a quick and easy non-surgical procedure that will not interrupt your regular daily routine. You won’t need to worry about undergoing anesthesia, and there’s no specific pre- or post-procedure routine to follow.

2. CoolSculpting produces natural-looking results.
CoolSculpting does not use any artificial substances to help you achieve your tightening and toning goals. The results appear natural and reveal themselves gradually, which is excellent for anyone who wants to take a more subtle approach to self-improvement. CoolSculpting also does not have any of the side effects associated with surgery, such as dimpling or scarring.

3. CoolSculpting fits your busy lifestyle.
Each CoolSculpting treatment only takes about an hour of your time, so you can get the procedure on your lunch break if you choose. Many patients return to work immediately after getting CoolSculpting, with none of their colleagues the wiser about how they spent the past hour. Additionally, many of our patients see their goal results after just one or two CoolSculpting sessions.

4. CoolSculpting doesn’t hurt.
Unlike some “Not Cool” methods for reducing fat deposits, CoolSculpting creates minimal discomfort during or after the procedure. Dr. Sinha strategically presses the CoolSculpting equipment against the desired treatment area, allowing the cold temperatures to permeate and kill the fat cells. During the procedure, you will experience suction and cooling sensations that eventually go numb, and most people find they are able to relax, read or even take a nap while they are having their CoolSculpting treatment. As a result, the side effects and risks of CoolSculpting are extremely mild.

5. CoolSculpting is best for patients who are already within their target body weight.
If you’re close to your ideal weight, but are looking to address stubborn areas of body fat once and for all, CoolSculpting is a perfect way for you to achieve better proportions and tone specific zones of your body.
