SilkPeel® Dermalinfusion™ is a breakthrough, non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that provides exfoliation of damaged skin cells, along with the delivery of topical solutions to cleanse and nourish the skin, and target specific skin conditions. With Dermalinfusion™ technology, the serums go deep into the skin, making it far superior to topical skin treatments that just lie on the surface. This unique process stimulates new cell growth in your skin’s epidermal (outer) layer, leaving the skin smoother, more elastic, hydrated and younger-looking.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What can SilkPeel™ treat?
A. We recommend Silk Peel™ treatments for a variety of skin conditions, including stubborn acne, stretch marks, melasma, brown/age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, surface cellulite/dimpling, uneven skin tone and rough skin texture. SilkPeel™ Dermalinfusion can be used on the face, neck, chest, hands, feet or other areas on the body—anywhere the skin shows signs of aging and needs hydration.
Q. How is SilkPeel™ Dermalinfusion different from microdermabrasion?
A. Traditional microdermabrasion uses aluminum oxide crystals or other abrasive particles to “sandblast” the outer layers of skin. SilkPeel™ is very different because instead of using crystals that can irritate the skin, it utilizes a medical grade diamond tip wand to gently exfoliate the skin’s outer layers. Another difference is that microdermabrasion just exfoliates. SilkPeel™ not only exfoliates but also simultaneously delivers condition-specific topical solutions to the dermis (middle layer of skin) to stimulate new cell growth and address specific skin conditions. It is the only procedure of its kind to offer this combination treatment.
Q. Does the treatment hurt?
A. There is not usually any pain associated with the treatment, although your skin may feel tight and slightly irritated as it is exfoliated. However, the topical solutions that are applied will leave your skin feeling refreshed and invigorated.
Q. Is there a recovery period afterwards?
A. No downtime is required. You may apply makeup and return to your normal activities immediately following the treatment. Your skin may temporarily be slightly pink or rosy, but this usually fades in about 30 minutes.
Q. How many SilkPeel™ treatments are needed?
A. We recommend a series of 4 to 6 treatments spaced 10 to 14 days apart, followed by a maintenance visit every 2 to 3 months. However, even one SilkPeel™ treatment will rejuvenate your skin for up to six weeks!
Q. Who is and isn’t a good candidate?
A. SilkPeel™ is ideal for all skin types, and is safe for people with dark complexions. The treatment is not recommended for patients with severe sunburns or skin infections (such as cold sores or fever blisters), or for people who are taking Accutane or Retinol.
Q. Can SilkPeel™ be combined with other treatments?
A. While SilkPeel™ can be used as a stand-alone procedure, it may be also combined with other cosmetic treatments in our office such as laser resurfacing, photo rejuvenation, and injectables like BOTOX® and dermal fillers. Many patients choose to undergo combination treatments in order to achieve an even better aesthetic outcome.
